An appeal for old saucepans

An appeal for old saucepans

In Literacy, we are exploring explanations and instructions using the story ‘The Ink Garden of Brother Theophane’.

With his natural curiosity, Theophane discovered that dyes could be extracted from plants – and that berries and leaves could produce beautiful colours too.

We would like to make our own dyes in school. The boiling process is likely to leave saucepans stained. With this in mind, we would like to appeal for any old saucepans that you might be on the verge of chucking out and replacing. If you are able to assist, please could these be brought in for Wednesday (26th April).

Many thanks in anticipation.
